This is not a run of the mill cookbook written by a culinary professional. It was created by a Brazilian travel entrepreneur who wanted to highlight the destinations she sells throughout Brazil, using the voices, stories and recipes of the people on the ground, who you will meet whilst traveling through the country. 


“Travel to Brazil: The Cookbook,” contains not only recipes, but the personal stories behind them, an exploration of the different cultures also found throughout Brazil, how its history brought these foods to become tradition, and a preview of some of Brazil’s most interesting travel destinations (and travel providers).


This cookbook will make you hungry and want to cook! It will also spark your curiosity to visit Brazil and learn more about the culture.

10% of all profit on the sales of books will go to supporting organizations that promote the development of community-based tourism experiences in Brazil, such as Projeto Bagagem (a national NGO), and local organizations found in the book (Adocci, MMIB, and Instituto Negralinda).

  • How many recipes are in the book? 59! 

    How big is the book?

    The book has 258 pages and is 8x10” (20.3 x 25.4 cm). It weighs about 2 lbs (or 1 kg).

    How long will it take for the book to arrive?

    The average time for books purchased within the continental United States is about 1 week – 10 days. International orders may take a few days longer. 

    Can I find ingredients where I live?

    The recipes were tested throughout the world, not only in Brazil, but countries like the United States, Germany, and Singapore! This was to make sure ingredients were accessible, and also so we could suggest substitutes, where they weren’t so easy to find. You may not find all ingredients, but we’ve done comprehensive research on what kinds of substitutes you can use if you can’t. 

    Do I need any special equipment to reproduce the recipes?

    In general, basic pots, pans, mixing bowls, a blender, stove and oven should do. We’d also recommend having a pressure cooker, but this is not mandatory to reproduce recipes. Very few recipes ask for things like a mixer, processor, slow cooker, or special kinds of pots and pans. 

    My book came with a defect; how can I send a complaint/receive a new copy? 

    If you believe there is a problem with your print order, such as defective or damaged product, please let us know as quickly as possible. You may submit a claim by following the steps further below. 

    It doesn't happen often but, minor manufacturing defects can occur from time to time. Below is a list of the most common defects that may occur. When minor, these defects do not render an order defective or damaged: 

    • Cover scratches 

    • Smudges in the lamination (Usually this is the glue which can be wiped off with a damp cloth)

    • Dents

    • Ink spots

    • Folded pages

    • Lamination creases or scored hinges

    • Gutter tread marks

    We’ll ask you take a photo and email with the picture of the defect as well as your order number. If the defect is deemed major by the publisher, we will ship a new copy of the book to you. 


  • LIABILITY: ExplorEquity, LLC accepts no liability arising from the fulfilment and delivery of product, as they are not the producer or the provider of the product. Product Provider maintains any and all liability stated, and implied, arising from the execution of the terms stated in this Agreement to Client.

    RETURNS/REFUNDS are not allowed, unless Client receives a product that is defective or damaged. Client will be required to send photos of defects or damages to Affiliate Partner who will review and make determinations on a case by case basis.

    CLIENTS NEEDING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE The Affiliate Partner and Clients agree to notify ExplorEquity well in advance of the experience of any accommodations or other special needs that may require accommodation or support arrangements. ExplorEquity and Product Provider will use its best efforts to make accommodations for Clients with special needs, but if such accommodations cannot reasonably be made, ExplorEquity will refund the Client’s payments according to the Cancellation Policy mentioned above. 

    PARTIAL INVALIDITY. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, all other provisions hereof shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect. 

    MODIFICATION AND WAIVER. The parties acknowledge that this Agreement shall not be subject to change or modification except by the execution of another instrument in writing, subscribed to by the parties hereto. 

    STATE OF NEW YORK. The parties agree that this Agreement shall be construed and applied according to the laws of the State of New York (United States). 

    ENTIRE AGREEMENT. The foregoing contains the entire agreement between the parties, and there are no other understandings or agreements between them.
